1 Person Killed in Stoddard County Auto Accident on US Highway 60 near Essex

STODDARD COUNTY, MO (September 8, 2026) – On Saturday night, one person died in a tragic two-vehicle crash on US Highway 60 near Essex.

The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. on US Highway 60 near Essex.

According to reports, a westbound pickup truck struck another pickup that was stopped in the road.

Moreover, responders pronounced a 52-year-old female passenger of the second pickup dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the 45-year-old female driver of the second pickup to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the 18-year-old male driver of the first pickup and his 17-year-old passenger both sustained minor injuries in the collision.
