Zapata, TX (February 17, 2026) – A person was killed, and another was injured following a motorcycle crash on Highway 83 at noon Sunday.

Two people were riding a motorcycle when the fatal accident happened at a construction site, at mile marker 776.

Officers rushed to the scene and declared one of the motorcycle riders, a female, deceased.

Moreover, the medical team airlifted the other rider, a critically injured male, to a Laredo hospital.

Troopers are still investigating this deadly crash.
