CASA GRANDE, AZ (January 15, 2025) – Tuesday morning, a person suffered injuries in an alarming multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 8.

The crash occurred just before 10:00 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 8 near Casa Grande, south of the Valley.

A spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that the crash may have started when a Kia collided with a commercial vehicle. The Kia’s driver was ejected from the car, though DPS did not specify the severity of their injuries.

It remains unclear if anyone else was hurt in the incident. Eastbound lanes I-8 were temporarily closed but reopened around 11:30 a.m. as authorities worked to clear the scene.
