Motorcyclist Hurt After Police Chase Crash on West Dallas Street in Houston

Houston, TX (May 1, 2025) – One person was hurt in a crash on West Dallas Street, two suspects arrested.

Houston Police took two suspects into custody after they allegedly stole a car from a parking garage at an apartment complex in the Montrose area.

Officers responded to a call at the garage on W. Dallas Street, where they apprehended one suspect at the scene. 

The second suspect jumped into the stolen vehicle and fled, initiating a police pursuit.

While fleeing, the suspect clipped a motorcycle that was not involved in the chase. Emergency personnel evaluated the motorcyclist for injuries, but police reported no serious harm.

The suspect drove into the Third Ward and abandoned the vehicle on Blodgett Street. A police helicopter tracked his movements, and officers—along with a K9 unit—closed in on him and made the arrest.

During the apprehension, the K9 inadvertently bit one of the officers, but the officer was not seriously injured.

Investigators searched the stolen car and discovered numerous key fobs along with a device commonly used to clone key fobs.
