Police Investigate Airplane Crash at Sonoma Valley Airport 

SONOMA COUNTY, CA (May 28, 2026)— One person suffered major injuries on Wednesday after an airplane crash at Sonoma Valley Airport.

According to CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations, crews responded to the crash with the Schell Vista Fire Department and the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department.

A CHP H-30 helicopter arrived at the scene and airlifted one person with major injuries to a local trauma center.

Officials said two other people suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Authorities have not released additional details about what caused the plane to crash or the identities of those injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
