INDIO, CA (March 12, 2025) – Monday, an alarming bicycle crash on Modena Road near Monroe Street injured a juvenile.

The incident happened in the 82000 block of Modena Road near Monroe Street and Avenue L.

A juvenile is recovering after being struck by a car while riding a small motorized mini-bike inside a gated community.

Police reported that the juvenile sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police stated that neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be factors in the crash.
