Injuries Reported in Brazos County Auto Accident on Highway 6

BRAZOS COUNTY, TX (June 22, 2026) – Sunday afternoon, a person sustained injuries in an alarming vehicle crash on Highway 6.

The incident happened in the northbound lanes of Highway 6.

Brazos County deputies were investigating and clearing an earlier crash when a second collision occurred at about 1:10 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Troopers said the driver of a Ford F-150 failed to control speed and rear-ended a Toyota Tacoma that had slowed because of the first crash. A Nissan Altima was also involved in the chain-reaction collision.

Authorities said no serious injuries were reported in the second crash. Those who were injured sought treatment at a hospital after being transported by private vehicle.
