Police Search For Hit-and-Run Driver After Crash on Leonora Drive and Ponce Avenue in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (August 14, 2025) – One person sustained injuries in a separate crash on Leonora Drive and Ponce Avenue and Shoup Place, and Ventura Boulevard.
A man allegedly went on a destructive crime spree in Woodland Hills, leaving behind multiple crash scenes and prompting a hit-and-run investigation.
On Thursday, August 14, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to two separate collisions — one near Leonora Drive and Ponce Avenue, and another near Shoup Place and Ventura Boulevard.
At the first location, officers found a vehicle overturned. At the second scene, a car had crashed into the Leo & Lily restaurant.
According to police, the same driver fled both crash scenes without stopping to render aid.
This prompted officers to launch a hit-and-run investigation. Authorities later located and arrested the suspect at a nearby convenience store.
At least one person was transported to the hospital as a result of the crashes.
As of Thursday, police had not confirmed how many vehicles the suspect struck or whether the individual was wanted in connection with any other crimes.
