24-Year-Old Motorist Injured in Crippling 2-Vehicle Crash on Dayton Street and El Cajon Boulevard [El Cerrito, CA]

Injuries Reported in El Cerrito Auto Accident on Dayton Street and El Cajon Boulevard

EL CERRITO, CA (October 20, 2025) – Friday night, a 24-year-old motorist sustained injuries in a crippling 2-vehicle crash on Dayton Street and El Cajon Boulevard.

The incident involving a Tesla and a Honda Civic happened at 8:30 p.m. on Dayton Street and El Cajon boulevard.

Authorities said an eastbound Tesla Model Y on El Cajon Boulevard turned left on a green light, crossing in front of a westbound Honda Civic and violating its right of way.

The vehicles collided in the intersection. The Honda driver was taken to a local hospital with a fractured left femur and a lacerated liver. Police said impaired driving is not suspected.
