PARK COUNTY, CO (August 26, 2025) – Monday afternoon, a crippling auto accident on Highway 285 near Turkey Road injured 1 person.

The incident happened on Highway 285 near Turkey Road.

CSP said a semi-truck rolled over on Highway 285 near Turkey Creek Road, spilling a load of lettuce and blocking traffic in both directions. The crash also involved a black Subaru struck by the truck.

The truck driver was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries. By 4:30 p.m., one northbound lane was open while southbound traffic was stopped. Most of the lettuce spilled onto the southbound lanes.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
