Man Injured in Disastrous 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6

Injuries Reported in Adair County Auto Accident on Highway 6 near Novinger

ADAIR COUNTY, MO (May 28, 2026) – Sunday, a Kirksville man sustained injuries in a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on Highway 6 near Novinger.

The incident happened when a 57-year-old pulled out of a private driveway on Highway 6, a mile East of Novinger. Then, he was hit by a 49-year-old woman from Milan, driving a westbound car.

After the crash, responders airlifted the man to University Hospital. Meanwhile, the Milan woman sustained no injuries in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
