Injuries Reported in Yuma Bicycle Accident on Avenue C near Central Drain

YUMA, AZ (May 12, 2026) – Saturday morning, a person sustained injuries in a disastrous bicycle crash on Avenue C near Central Drain.

The incident happened just before 6:40 a.m. on Avenue C near Central Drain.

The Yuma Police Department said a 20-year-old woman was driving a Honda Civic southbound on Avenue C when a 36-year-old man riding a bicycle southbound reportedly veered out of the bike lane and into the vehicle.

The bicyclist was taken to Onvida Health before later being flown to a Phoenix-area hospital because of his injuries.

Police said the bicyclist was listed in stable condition as of Sunday. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Yuma police or 78-CRIME anonymously.
