Woman Hospitalized After Crash on 15th and South Wall Ave in Joplin
Joplin, Mo (June 13, 2025) – Just before 8:30 p.m. Friday evening reports of a crash on 15th and South Wall Ave alerted E-911.
Joplin Fire, Joplin Police and METS ambulance responded.
On scene we observe a crashed vehicle on the NE corner of the intersection.
Joplin Police Officers tell us a northbound SUV on Wall Ave struck an eastbound 15th Street car. The car failed to yield at the intersection and the driver was cited.
The female in the car was transported to a Joplin hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries. She was alert and talking.
An unknown towing company removed the car.
The SUV was able to drive away from the scene after the bumper was pulled out from a front tire.
The intersection traffic was disrupted for about an hour.

The accident occurred just before 8:30 p.m. and triggered an emergency response from Joplin Fire, Joplin Police, and METS ambulance.
Authorities reported that a northbound SUV on Wall Avenue struck a car traveling east on 15th Street after the car failed to yield at the intersection. Police cited the car’s driver for the violation.
The female driver of the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, she was alert and talking at the scene. A tow truck later removed her vehicle, while the SUV was able to leave under its own power after minor adjustments.
