CHP Investigates Rollover Crash on Interstate 15 Freeway in Barstow

Barstow, CA (April 18, 2025) – One person sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 15 freeway.

A rollover crash caused significant delays on the northbound I-15 freeway near mile marker 72, just north of Barstow, on Friday afternoon.

Around 12:34 p.m. on April 18, 2025, a southbound vehicle reportedly overturned and came to rest on its passenger side in the northbound fast lane, according to the California Highway Patrol incident logs. 

The impact forced authorities to restrict northbound traffic to a single lane, resulting in a substantial backup.

Emergency responders from Barstow Fire and Baker Ambulance arrived on scene to provide aid. 

They treated at least one person for injuries, although officials have not yet released information about the severity of those injuries.

A second vehicle, identified as an SUV, was also involved in the crash. A caller informed dispatch that the SUV had struck their vehicle during the incident.

Victor Valley Towing responded to the scene to assist with vehicle recovery, while cleanup crews worked to clear debris from the nearby Highway 58 on-ramp to southbound I-15, which was also affected by the collision.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the rollover.
