Driver Hospitalized After Crash on Missouri Highway 10 in River Bend

River Bend, Mo (February 28, 2025) – A wrong-way crash on Missouri Highway 10 involving a minivan and a sedan sent one driver to the hospital on Thursday morning.

Around 11:25 a.m., emergency crews responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash near Missouri Highway 10 and Todd Chapel Road, close to River Bend.

First responders found that a 36-year-old Lawson man had been driving a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan eastbound when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the centerline and collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 67-year-old Orrick man.

Paramedics transported the 36-year-old driver to Liberty Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officials confirmed that he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The 65-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, who was not wearing a seatbelt, escaped without injury.

Investigators reported that both vehicles sustained moderate damage in the crash. 

Authorities have not released any additional information.
