1 Injured in Moped Accident on Britannia Boulevard [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (December 8, 2025) – A 23-year-old man was injured in a moped accident on Britannia Boulevard Friday afternoon.

It was past 2 p.m. when the collision happened at the 2100 block area.

Troopers said the victim was riding a moped to the right of slower vehicles while a 45-year-old woman driving a northbound black 2018 Cadillac XTS SUV on the same road began turning right into a driveway.

The moped then struck the SUV’s passenger side and sustained severe head trauma.

Investigators said alcohol did not play a role in the collision.
