Suspect Arrested After Crash on Beach Boulevard in Westminster
Westminster, CA (January 18, 2026) – A police pursuit early Sunday morning ended in a crash on Beach Boulevard involving a patrol vehicle and an uninvolved motorist, resulting in one minor injury.
According to the Westminster Police Department, officers attempted to stop a vehicle around 1 a.m. near Beach Boulevard and Westminster Avenue for unspecified code violations.
The driver failed to yield and led officers on a brief pursuit through traffic.
During the chase, a police vehicle collided with a vehicle that was not involved in the pursuit.
The collision caused minor injuries to one individual. Emergency responders assisted at the scene.
Authorities said the suspect stopped a short distance away and was taken into custody with help from the Anaheim Police Department.
The individual was later booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of felony evading and felony driving under the influence.
The incident remains under review.
