EL PASO, TX (June 25, 2026) – Wednesday, a person sustained injuries in a startling bus stop crash at El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

The incident happened just after noon at the El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

One person was hospitalized after a vehicle crashed into a Sun Metro bus stop and the fence of the El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens in South-Central El Paso, according to the El Paso Fire Department.

Officials said the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the structure of a Sun Metro bus stop before continuing into the zoo’s fence.

Fire officials reported that one person sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.
