1 Person Killed in Brutal 4-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 15

1 Dead in San Diego Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 15 near Miramar

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 17, 2026) – Sunday night, a person died in a brutal 4-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near Miramar.

The incident involving four cars happened at around 10:27 p.m. on the southbound Interstate 15 near Miramar.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed that a 32-year-old man died after his Ford Escape struck the right shoulder wall of a highway and caught fire.

Investigators said an Audi RS7 driven by a 21-year-old collided with the Ford Escape, pushing it into the shoulder wall. A motorcycle and another vehicle were also involved in the crash. The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries.

CHP said it is still investigating why the Audi struck the other vehicle. The identity of the deceased man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
