1 Dead in Golden Auto Accident on Missouri Route 86

GOLDEN, MO (December 30, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, a 76-year-old woman died in a brutal car crash on Missouri Route 86.

The incident happened just before 1:00 p.m. on Missouri Route 86.

Troopers said a 2004 Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound when it crossed the center line. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to leave the right side of the roadway and overturn.

The passenger, a 74-year-old woman from Shell Knob, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 45-year-old man from Eagle Rock, suffered serious injuries. Troopers said neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

This marks Troop D’s 127th traffic fatality of 2025.
