RIO VISTA, CA (December 17, 2025) – Monday afternoon, a driver died in a brutal semi-truck crash on Highway 12 and Jackson Slough Road.

The incident involving a semi-truck happened just before 4:00 p.m. on Highway 12 and Jackson Slough Road.

The crash involved a semi-truck and a Cadillac. The Cadillac’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the impact sent the semi off the road and down an embankment. Reports said that the semi driver sustained minor injuries. Photos from the River Delta Fire District showed the semi overturned with heavy front-end damage and bales of hay scattered nearby.

Highway 12 at Highway 160 was closed in both directions for over five hours before reopening around 9:20 p.m.
