1 Dead and Injuries Reported in Baker Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 15 near Afton Road

 
BAKER, CA (August 24, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a person died and two people suffered injuries in a crash on Interstate 15 near Afton Road.
 
The incident occurred at around 12:08 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15 near Afton Road. According to reports, the crash involved a 26 ft box truck, a semi-truck with a trailer, and a Ford 350 pickup truck hauling a 22 ft gooseneck trailer.
 
When the authorities arrived, they confirmed that three trapped people sustained critical injuries. Then, one of them was semi-conscious. Meanwhile, a fourth patient sustained minor injuries.
 
Moreover, they confirmed that one of the critical patients succumbed to injuries at the scene.
 
Thus, only two helicopters landed on the scene and transported the victims to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
 
Also, the crash shut down both lanes of Interstate 15.
 
Furthermore, officers confirmed that the semi-truck combination was loaded with frozen foods and the front of the trailer split. Meanwhile, the gooseneck trailer hauled the chalkboard. An additional white pickup truck did not require a tow truck.
