1 Dead in Romoland Multi-Vehicle Accident on Gunther Road and McIntyre Road

ROMOLAND, CA (June 14, 2026) – Last June 7, a person died in a horrific 3-vehicle crash on Gunther Road and McIntyre Road.

The incident involving a 2024 Can-Am and two Yamaha all-terrain vehicles happened at around 7:05 p.m. on Gunther Road, south of McIntyre Road.

For reasons still under investigation, all three vehicles collided with one another.

An 18-year-old Romoland resident riding one of the Yamaha ATVs was ejected during the collision and struck the roadway.

Fire personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the rider dead from his injuries. Authorities have not released his identity pending notification of next of kin.

According to the California Highway Patrol, alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been factors in the crash.

The CHP Accident Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances and is asking witnesses to come forward.
