1 Dead in Buellton Auto Accident on Highway 101 and Jonata Park Road

BUELLTON, CA (December 3, 2025) – Monday morning, a person died in a horrific rollover crash on Highway 101 and Jonata Park Road.

The incident involving a pickup truck happened at 10:26 a.m. on Highway 101 and Jonata Park Road.

A caller reported that a dark-colored Ford Ranger had rolled down an embankment on the east side of Highway 101, just south of Jonata Park Road. One man was inside the truck. Firefighters needed about ten minutes to free him.

Santa Barbara County Fire initially reported that CPR was underway. A later update confirmed the man was pronounced dead at 11:13 a.m.

One northbound lane of Highway 101 near Buellton was temporarily closed but has reopened.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Buellton Area CHP office at (805) 691-6160.
