Midlothian, TX (May 19, 2025) – One person died in a crash on US 287 involving a 15-wheeler and another vehicle.

A major accident is backing up traffic along U.S. 287. According to the Midlothian Police Department, an 18-wheeler collided with another vehicle in the 2900 block of W. U.S. 287, resulting in one fatality. 

The crash caused the 18-wheeler to overturn, police confirmed.

The collision prompted authorities to shut down all northbound lanes of U.S. 287 for several hours while they diverted traffic onto N. U.S. Highway 67. 

Since then, officials have reopened all lanes. The police are actively investigating what caused the crash.
