TAYLOR, CA (June 8, 2026) – Saturday afternoon, a motorcyclist died in a brutal 3-vehicle crash on 74 Highway near Carrizo Road.

The incident happened at 3:13 p.m. on the Pines to Palms (74) Highway near Carrizo Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle rider was killed in a crash involving another motorcycle and a third vehicle.

A witness told CHP that one of the motorcycles left the roadway and went down an embankment.

One rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the rider’s name, age, or gender.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone else was injured in the collision.

The roadway through the crash area remained closed for more than three hours and reopened at 7:49 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
