1 Dead in Phoenix Auto Accident on 25th Avenue and Buckeye Road

PHOENIX, AZ (June 16, 2026) – Monday morning, a person died in a brutal car crash on 25th Avenue and Buckeye Road.

The incident happened just before 7:30 a.m. on 25th Avenue and Buckeye Road, west of Interstate 17.

Phoenix police officers responded to the area and found the driver of a van who appeared to be unresponsive. The male subject was taken to a hospital and died.

The person’s identity has not been disclosed.

The driver of the vehicle, a semi truck, was also taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision.

Preliminary information suggests the van failed to yield and turned left in front of the semi-truck, Phoenix police said.
