1 Dead in Monterey County Motorcycle Accident on San Juan Road and San Miguel Canyon Road

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (October 2, 2025) – Sunday night, a person died in a brutal motorcycle crash on San Juan Road and San Miguel Canyon Road.

The crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck happened at about 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of San Juan Road and San Miguel Canyon Road.

CHP reported that a 40-year-old man from Fresno was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on San Juan Road near San Miguel Canyon Road when a collision occurred.

At the same time, a 52-year-old Castroville man driving a gray Ford pickup was traveling west on San Juan Road and attempting to turn left onto San Miguel Canyon Road. For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle and truck collided in the intersection.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was not injured. Authorities said the victim’s identity will be released once next of kin have been notified.
