EATON, CO (January 8, 2026) – Tuesday night, a person died in a brutal pedestrian crash on US 85 and 2nd Street.

The incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian happened at 5:35 p.m. at the intersection of US 85 and 2nd Street.

Authorities said details about the vehicle, driver, and pedestrian were not provided in the initial report.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where the individual later died. The Weld County Coroner’s Office was expected to release the victim’s identity after next-of-kin notification.
