TUCSON, AZ (May 14, 2026) – Wednesday, a person died in a brutal vehicle crash on Interstate 10 and Valencia Road.

The fiery crash involving a tractor-trailer happened on Interstate 10 eastbound at Valencia Road.

A deadly crash and vehicle fire shut down Interstate 10 eastbound at Valencia Road.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the fire began after a tractor-trailer overturned in the median. Officers also confirmed at least one fatality.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said there is currently no estimate for when the roadway will reopen. Drivers are being urged to use alternate routes.
