SACRAMENTO, CA (September 13, 2026) – Friday morning, a person died in a brutal vehicle crash on Interstate 80 and Watt Avenue.

The incident happened at about 3:30 a.m. on westbound lanes of Interstate 80, just west of Watt Avenue.

Because of the crash, westbound traffic was temporarily shut down but has since reopened.

According to CHP logs, a vehicle struck the center divider.
