CHP Investigates Fatal Crash on 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park
Baldwin Park, CA (July 24, 2025) – One person died in a crash on 10 Freeway late Thursday night.
A person lost their life late Thursday night when the sedan they were riding in crashed into the center divider on the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Baldwin Park, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP officers responded to the scene at 10:52 p.m., arriving at the transition road from the westbound 10 Freeway just east of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, CHP Officer Ramon Kendricks told City News Service.
They discovered a gray sedan with deployed airbags and debris scattered across multiple freeway lanes.
Emergency responders pronounced the victim—whose name, age, and gender have not yet been released—dead at the scene.
The crash forced authorities to shut down all lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway for an unknown period, diverting traffic onto the westbound 605 Freeway while the investigation and cleanup took place.
