FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (February 28, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a person died in a fiery crash on Slater Avenue and Euclid Street.

The incident happened just before 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of Slater Avenue and Euclid Street.

According to reports, a Toyota Camry headed north on Euclid Street. Then, it crashed with a Dodge Caravan as it turned left from the southbound lanes of Euclid Street to Slater Avenue.

As a result, the Camry caught fire.

Moreover, officers came to the crash scene and pulled the driver of the Camry, a 51-year-old Costa Mesa man out of the fiery car.

Then, responders took him to the hospital with significant head injuries.

Meanwhile, authorities declared the driver of the Dodge, a 55-year-old man, dead at the scene. At this time, his identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

The Fountain Valley Police Department handles the crash investigation. Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the department at 714-593-4481.
