1 Dead in Corona Auto Accident on 91 Freeway near Serfas Club Drive

CORONA, CA (August 19, 2025) – Monday afternoon, a person died in a devastating 2-vehicle crash on 91 Freeway near Serfas Club Drive.

The incident happened at 4:00 p.m. in the slow lane on eastbound 91 Freeway, between Serfas Club Drive and West Sixth Street.

A Nissan sedan and a Chevrolet sedan collided on the freeway under unclear circumstances, reports said. The Nissan overturned on the shoulder, ejecting its driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Corona Fire Department paramedics.

CHP said a tractor-trailer may have been clipped after the initial crash between the two cars. It was not confirmed if the other motorist was injured.

The slow lane and Sixth Street exit ramp were closed, and a SigAlert was issued for at least two hours due to traffic. The cause is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP Riverside office at 951-324-7210.
