ST LOUIS, MO (July 1, 2025) – Monday morning, a person died in an alarming 2-car crash on Interstate 70 near Adelaide Avenue.

The incident involving two vehicles happened at about 10:15 a.m. on Interstate 70 near Adelaide Avenue.

Authorities confirmed that one person died and another was injured in a rollover crash that prompted a major highway closure.

Emergency crews responded by shutting down all lanes and shoulders of the roadway, and rerouting traffic off the highway at Carrie Avenue. 

The Missouri Department of Transportation announced on social media that the closure would last until approximately 1:30 p.m.
