1 Dead in Austin Auto Accident on FM 685 and East Pfennig Lane

AUSTIN, TX (January 14, 2026) – Monday night, a person died in a horrific 2-vehicle crash on FM 685 and East Pfennig Lane.

The incident involving two vehicles happened at about 11:00 p.m. on FM 685 and East Pfennig Lane.

Pflugerville police said responders found an unconscious elderly woman with serious injuries inside one of the vehicles. CPR was attempted, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Round Rock Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
