1 Dead in Modesto Traffic Crash on Carpenter Road near S 9th Street

MODESTO, CA (September 26, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, a woman died in a horrific auto accident on Carpenter Road near S 9th Street.

The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on the Carpenter Road overpass near S 9th Street.

The Nissan driver, a woman from Hilmar whose identity has not been released, was transported to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities state that there is no evidence suggesting drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
