Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on 170th Street East in Lancaster Leaves One Dead, CHP Investigating
LANCASTER, CA (January 1, 2026) – A deadly crash on 170th Street East early Thursday morning claimed the life of one person.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 6:53 a.m. near the intersection of 170th Street East and Avenue P.
Authorities report that after the initial impact, one of the involved vehicles veered off the road and struck a light pole.
Emergency personnel responded quickly, but tragically, one individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional victims were transported to the hospital, and no further injuries were reported.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
As of now, the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
