Police Investigate Two-Vehicle Crash on E Highway 71 in Austin

Austin, TX (April 18, 2025) – One person sustained critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash on E Highway 71.

A vehicle and a motorcycle collided in southeast Travis County on Friday, leaving one person with serious injuries, according to Austin-Travis County EMS. 

The agency announced on social media that its team responded to the crash at the intersection of E Highway 71 and Wolf Lane around 1:50 p.m.

ATCEMS medics began performing CPR on an adult at the scene. By shortly after 3 p.m., medics had airlifted the patient to Dell Seton Medical Center via Travis County STAR Flight, reporting that the individual sustained “critical, life-threatening injuries.”

Authorities urged drivers to anticipate traffic delays in the area and use alternate routes.

As of Friday, no additional information had been released.
