1 Dead and 1 Hurt in Upland Auto Accident on Foothill Boulevard and Benson Avenue

 
UPLAND, CA (June 1, 2021) – Sunday night, a person died and another suffered injuries in a car crash on Foothill Boulevard and Benson Avenue.
 
The authorities received a call just after 10:00 p.m. about a vehicle crashing into a tree. According to reports, the crash happened on the center median in the 1600 block of West Foothill Boulevard near the intersection with Benson Avenue.
 
When the authorities arrived, they found a female driver inside the car. However, they declared her dead at the scene at 10:35 p.m., said James Schiller, spokesman for the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Also, rescue crews utilized heavy machinery to free another person from the battered black Acura. Then, responders took that person to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
As a result of the crash, the authorities shut down the 1600 block of Foothill Boulevard for several hours during the investigation.
