WOODSIDE, CA (August 31, 2025) – Friday afternoon, a person died in a brutal bicycle crash on Highway 35 and Highway 84.

The incident involving a bicycle and a pickup truck happened at about 4:30 p.m. on Highway 35 and Highway 84.

A bicyclist has died following a crash with a pickup truck in San Mateo County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Paramedics provided emergency medical aid at the scene, and the victim was flown by air ambulance to Stanford Medical Center in critical condition. Despite those efforts, the bicyclist later died from their injuries.

The San Mateo County Major Accident Investigation Team is leading the investigation. Officials said the driver of the pickup remained at the scene and is cooperating.
