Honda Driver Dies After Crash on Highway 6 in Houston

Houston, TX (March 21, 2025) – One person died in a crash on Highway 6 on Friday morning.

Houston authorities are investigating a fatal crash that shut down all southbound main lanes on Highway 6 early Friday morning near Briarhills.

According to Houston police, the crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. at 1100 South State Highway 6.

SkyEye captured aerial images showing what appeared to be a car pinned beneath an 18-wheeler.

Investigators reported that a man driving a Honda Accord was heading southbound when he collided with a white 18-wheeler. 

The truck had been exiting a parking lot and was making a left turn across the main lanes at the time of the crash.

The truck driver stopped and remained at the scene.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the Honda driver dead at the scene.

After questioning the truck driver, authorities confirmed that impairment was not a factor and released them.

Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity.
