Pedestrian Dies After Crash on Ramona Expressway in Perris

Perris, CA (December 22, 2024) – A pedestrian died in a crash on Ramona Expressway.

Authorities continued investigating a fatal traffic collision at a Perris intersection on Tuesday that claimed the life of a pedestrian.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Monday, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Perris station responded to a major injury collision involving an SUV and a pedestrian at the intersection of Ramona Expressway and North Perris Boulevard.

Upon arrival, they found the pedestrian unresponsive in the eastbound lanes of the Ramona Expressway.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

Authorities reported that the SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Preliminary findings from the Perris Station Reconstruction Team indicated that the vehicle was traveling eastbound at the time of the collision.

Drugs or alcohol are not currently suspected to have contributed to the incident.
