1 Dead in Jurupa Valley Car Crash on Interstate 15 and 68th Street

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (January 26, 2021) – Sunday night, a person died in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 15 and 68th Street.
 
The crash involving a Ford Mustang and a pickup truck happened around 10:50 p.m. It occurred on southbound Interstate 15, just south of 68th Street.
 
According to Officer Juan Quintero, the Mustang traveled in the No. 2 lane at a high rate of speed. Then, a Ford F-350 in an adjacent lane veered into the Mustang’s path. As a result, the Mustang crashed into the truck’s driver’s side.
 
“The impact caused the Mustang to travel out of control in a southwesterly direction, onto a dirt embankment, where it collided with a freeway sign post,” Quintero revealed. “The collision with the sign split the Mustang in half.”
 
The unidentified driver succumbed to injuries at the scene. The Riverside County Fire Department paramedics declared him dead minutes upon arrival.
 
Also, the pickup driver remained in the freeway’s center median, uninjured.
 
Moreover, the authorities continue to investigate the crash. They urged anyone with information on the crash to call the CHP’s Riverside office at 951-637-8000.
