16-Year-Old Critical after Multi-Vehicle Crash on Gold Dust Avenue in Scottsdale

Scottsdale, AZ (April 7, 2023) – Friday night, a 10-year-old girl and her 47-year-old mom died while her brother and dad sustained serious injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Gold Dust Avenue.

The fatal multi-vehicle crash on Gold Dust Avenue in Scottsdale happened on April 7.

Reportedly, they were just sitting at a red light when the drunk driver hit them and ripped their car in two.

Jana and Joy died, while Ryan and Chino were rushed to a hospital. 

Ryan remains hospitalized with a broken back, legs, and ribs. Doctors are hopeful the teen will pull through.

Officials said alcohol and speed appear to be a factor in this crash.
