2 Teens Transported in Putnam County Solo-Vehicle Crash
Putnam County, MO (December 2, 2026) – A 14-year-old girl sustained injuries following a 100th Street collision Tuesday afternoon.
The traffic collision happened past 4 p.m. approximately a mile west of MO 5.
Troopers said a 16-year-old girl from Moravia, Iowa, was traveling west when the car left the road. The vehicle then struck a fence and a ditch.
The driver and her 14-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries. Both of them were transported to MercyOne Medical Center in Centerville
Investigators said both teens were wearing their seat belts.
When you’re behind the wheel, remember—you’re not alone out there. Every time you drive, you’re part of a community that shares the road. That’s why it’s so important to stay alert, drive responsibly, and respect others. Safe driving doesn’t just protect you; it keeps your loved ones, neighbors, and even total strangers safe too.
If we all do our part—slow down, stay focused, and avoid distractions—we can make the roads safer for everyone.
And don’t forget the simplest safety tip of all: always buckle up. Whether you’re the driver or a passenger, wearing your seatbelt is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent serious injury in a crash. Sweet Lawyers encourages everyone to make it a habit—every trip, every time.
Motorists are reminded to remain alert at intersections, especially during overnight and holiday hours, and to slow down to help reduce the risk of serious crashes.
