19-Year-Old Jesus Avila Dead in W Main Street Collision [Barstow, CA]

Barstow, CA (June 26, 2026) – Jesus Avila, 19, and of Barstow, was fatally injured in a Main Street collision Tuesday afternoon.

The deadly head-on crash between a gray Infiniti sedan and a tan Honda sedan happened at 1:53 p.m. on June 23, 2026, at the 800 block area of West Main Street.

Witnesses pulled an unconscious man, Avila, from the gray Infiniti after it caught fire following the collision. 

 Rescuers transported Avila via ground ambulance to Barstow Community Hospital, where he died.

Paramedics treated the Honda’s driver at the scene, and later airlifted them to another hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, a fundraiser was held to help Avila’s family with funeral expenses.
