19-Year-Old Preston Obeidin Killed in SR 79 Collision [Temecula, CA]

Temecula, CA (April 14, 2025) – 19-year-old Preston Obeidin lost his life following a SR 79 collision early Sunday morning.

The traffic collision happened past 7 a.m. on the southbound freeway, south of Anza Road.

According to the authorities, a 1998 Toyota 4Runner was driven by Preston Obeidin northbound when he made an overcorrection to the right. Obeidin lost control of the vehicle and drove onto the dirt shoulder on the side of the road. 

The vehicle slammed into a telephone pole and overturned, resting on its roof. 

Responding officers declared Preston Obeidin deceased at the scene.

The front passenger sustained minor injuries, while the unrestrained passenger in the back incurred major injuries and was extricated. Both passengers are 19-year-old man, and both were transported.
