11-Year-Old Boy Airlifted After Serious Injuries in Indio Crash

Indio, CA (March 27, 2026) — On Wednesday evening, an 11-year-old boy suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to a hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Avenue 48 near the border of Indio and Coachella.

The collision happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection with Dillon Road, near Grapefruit Boulevard. Emergency crews responded quickly and found multiple people hurt in the crash.
