85-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash South of Wappapello

Wappapello, MO (June 26, 2025) — An 85-year-old Wappapello man lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on Route T Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 11:40 a.m. on Route T, about four miles south of Wappapello. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a GMC Terrain entered the path of a GMC Sierra, causing the vehicles to collide.

The driver of the Sierra died at the scene. Authorities reported that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Terrain, a 63-year-old woman from Wappapello, was wearing a seat belt and reported no injuries.

Investigators said the Terrain sustained extensive damage, while the Sierra was destroyed in the collision. The crash remains part of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s ongoing traffic fatality statistics for the year.
